Once you have written your National Benchmark tests, there will be a nerve-wracking wait for your results. Here’s all you need to know about how to view your results.
You will receive your test results in approximately four weeks after you have written, the results will be available for you to view by 12 noon.
The institutions that you have applied to will typically have first access to your results, as the results will be made available to them 3 weeks after your test date. Institutions get this access only if you allow it.
During the registration process, you are asked if you would like to give permission to institutions to view your results. If you choose to give institutions access, you can select ‘Submit’ and your results will be sent to the institutions 3 weeks after you write
Your NBT results are valid for 3 years, however, you can contact the institutions that you have applied to for more information about their admission requirements.
When Will NBT Results Be Available? The NBT results for the 2023-2024 academic year are expected to be released in mid-January 2024. Students can check their results on the NBT website using their user account login details.

How to Check NBT Results To check your NBT results, follow these steps:
Go to the NBT website – The first step is to visit the NBT website at www.nbt.ac.za.
Login to your user account – Once you are on the homepage, click on the “Login” button in the top right-hand corner of the page. Enter your email address and password to access your account.
Click on “Results” – After logging in, click on the “Results” tab on your user dashboard.
Select the relevant year and test date – Choose the academic year and test date for which you want to view the results.
View your results – Your results will be displayed on the screen. You can also download and print your results for future reference.
You can also access your results by sending an email to nbt@uct.ac.za requesting your results. You can request your results four weeks after your test session.
How To Obtain Your Results
Your results are uploaded to your NBT account approximately four weeks after your tests, by 12 noon on the date listed on the NBT Test Schedule.
LOGIN TO YOUR ACCOUNT:
To log in to your account: Your username is your ID number and your password is the one you created when you registered. If you have forgotten your password, use the password reminder link on the login page.
MY RESULTS AREN’T AVAILABLE.
Your results will not be accessible if there is an outstanding balance on your account. If you have an outstanding balance, it means that an earlier test was booked, but not paid for. Unless an emergency prevented you from writing that test, you will have to pay for it in order to view your results.
RESULTS SENT TO UNIVERSITIES:
Your results are made available to any institution to which you have applied approximately three weeks after you have written your tests.
There is no need to send your results to institutions. Institutions to which you have applied will request your results from us.
